Native to the Americas, blackberries are bursting with intense fruit fl avors. Often used to
describe Cabernet Sauvignon, blackberry aromas are deep and richly fruity. This, along with
lingering tannins and a gorgeous deep purple hue make it an excellent foil for the broad richness
of Port. Bright berry notes lift up this wine, making it a superb foil for intense cheeses, roasted
nuts and especially chocolate desserts.
Food pairings: Delicious on its own or with any dessert, or serve with toasted nuts or shortbread.
